Skagit County Real Estate
Skagit County is a rich farming community in the Northwest corner of Washington State. It's largest city of Mount Vernon is located along the Skagit Riverwhere I-5 passes through going north and south. Skagit County is known for it's month long Tulip festival each year during April, the scenic North Cascades Highway, It's gorgeous coastline, and many events through out the year.
Just to the west of Mount Vernon, WA are the cities of Anacortes, La Conner, and across Deception Pass to Whidbey Island is the city of Oak Harbor. To the north and east of Mount Vernon are the towns of Burlington and Sedro Woolley. Beyond Sedro Woolley to the east is the beginning of Highway 20 that will take your on a gorgeous drive through the North Cascades into Eastern Washington. The highway is closed during the winter, but offers a very scenic drive during the spring and summer months.
