Lake Whatcom provides a large assortment of housing options for Bellingham area home buyers. The Silver Beach Neighborhood and Geneva Neighborhood are two Bellingham area neighborhoods that hugs the entire shoreline on the western shore of Lake Whatcom. Bellingham area home buyers will find the most housing options in these two neighborhoods for Lake Whatcom area real estate. We are currently upgrading these two neighborhoods and within the next couple months we will provide tons of information about the Silver beach and Geneva areas.
If you travel through the Geneva Neighborhood along Lake Whatcom Blvd there will be many homes and a few condos along both sides of the Blvd. Strawberry Point is the biggest collection of homes along this two mile stretch. If you travel just beyond this you will come to the Sudden Valley Community where about 5,000 residents of Whatcom County call home. Visit our Sudden Valley real estate pages to learn about all the housing options in the Valley.
Beyond Sudden Valley you will travel several miles through a forest of large
Cedar and Fir trees. Recently the dept of Transportation just finished a brand new bridge that really helped improve the road system. Just before you get to the turn off to Glen Haven Lakes is the Wildwood Resort. Wildwood Resort offers cabins, full-service RV sites, and unserviced camping and tent sites nestled on 15 acres along the shores of Lake Whatcom.
If you kept along Lake Whatcom's shore line heading south east you'll eventually come to the end of the lake near Blue Canyon. Travelors could then take the three mile Park Rd to connect up to Hwy 9. You can take Hwy 9 either north through the Acme Valley and eventually Mt. Baker Hwy, or take it south through Sedro Woolley and areas south.
